  1. Blood can leave a bad taste in your mouth so if your brushing too hard or just bleeding from the gums that could be it. For me it was my wisdom teeth coming in. One is impacted and was bleeding which led to bad breath and taste in mouth. Also you could have food stuck between your teeth that has gotten old and needs to be flossed out. Try the flossers with the handle they are easy to use and come in like a hundred pack at walmart.

  2. The food might get rid of the bacteria build-up from when you're sleeping. If it gives you a bad taste though, you could try rincing your mouth out with water before and after brushing, and using some listerine or a mint to keep your breath fresh and not icky. You should brush your teeth at night before sleeping too, that's actually quite important to avoid bacteria.

  3. your toothpaste sucks

  4. This is very normal. The bacteria that accumulate in your mouth during the night cause bad breath/ taste. You tend to produce much less saliva at night and saliva is necessary for cleansing your mouth. When you eat breakfast, saliva flow is stimulated thus helping to clean off that bacteria on your teeth, gums, and tongue. Remember after you brush to always brush your tongue with a toothbrush soaked in water (Not toothpaste because the toothpaste will actually trap the bacteria). Hope this helps!
