Bad upper leg pain??????

I did the machine where you twist your lower half while keeping your upper half straight to work your obliques and I woke up in the middle of the night to a terrible pain in my upper leg where it connects to the rest of my body. I can't lay with my leg straight without it hurting and I can't stand without it hurting. It hurts A LOT. Any idea what it is and what I can do to make it stop hurting so bad????

  1. massage - maybe u didnt perform the exercise properly and the muscles in ur legs mostly attach to ur hip girdle so u may have strained it - get some deep tissue massage
