Bad water & ice cube taste

Our Kitchenaid Superba KSRG25FKBL15 has bad tasting water and ice cubes. We replaced the copper tubing which delivers the water to the fridge and that didn't help. We replaced the copper tubing again with plastic tubing...no better. Any suggestions? Our tap water doesn't taste this bad.

I am having the same problem with my ice. The refrigerator is 4 years old. I purchased a flexhose for the ice maker when we moved in and connected it, excited about the prospect of not having to buy ice. To my chagrin, the ice from the ice maker tastes metallic. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
