Ok, I am a fifteen year old girl that lives way out in the boondocks of Letcher, South Dakota. Yes, we were hit by the 2003 tornadoes, also known as "Tornadeo Tuesday". I recently heard that really bad weather occurs every five years.... which would mean this would be the year for bad weather. Don't get me wrong I love to chase tornadoes and watch storms but I just was wondering if there was any proof of that or if anyone else has heard the same thing. Thanks for your time and input!

  1. ~Not at all. And actually, I just heard on the news 2 nights ago that this is going to be a rather tame year as far as weather goes.

  2. Every so often the weather patterns are conducive to a lot of rain and stormy weather.  It goes in cycles.

  3. No, there is no proof of that. That's just an old wives' tale. By the way, it's all in the attitude. If you believe thunderstorms and tornadoes are 'bad weather', then you will always be miserable. Besides, 'bad weather' occurs EVERY season in EVERY year. Whether it's a summer tornado or a November ice storm or a January blizzard, people will always find something to whine about.
