Question:

Badly sprained ankle?

i cant walk and the crutches are driving me crasy some suggestions on geting the swelling to go down and do you know how long it takes for a ankle to heal

  1. Use ice in a plastic bag with a towel or wrap a bag of frozen peas in a cotton towel which should work too, The ice and the compress will help to reduce the swelling, bruising and pain. Keep the ice there for atleas half an hour. Also elevate your ankle on a stool while sitting. Keep it rested too and give it occasional exercise.

    That should help with the swelling and pain and depending on how bad the sprain was it will take shorter or longer. Recently my sister sprainded her ankle and it took about the rest of the day and 2 days after that. Also try hopping and crawling around the house if you dont want to use the crutchers or you could use a office chair to move around! I hoped this helps :D i hope you recover quickly (:  


  2. i had the same problem when i use to play soccer all you could really do is rest your ankle and ice it
