Badminton/Tennis Court difference?

Question

are the courts for badminton different from tennis? are they the same sizes?

because i feel like playing tennis, but there is only a badminton court

Badminton courts are much smaller and made of different stuff than the surface of tennis courts, so ball bounces will be funny -- tennis needs very even courts. Also, a badminton net is waaay higher and not as wide compared to a tennis net. Tennis nets also require strong supports to keep them taut and stop them from falling over when they get hit.

Tennis is played on a rectangular, flat surface, usually grass, clay, or a hardcourt of concrete and/or asphalt. The court is 78 feet (23.77 m) long, and its width is 27 feet (8.23 m) for singles matches and 36 ft (10.97 m) for doubles matches.

While the full width of the badminton court is 6.1 metres (20 ft), and in singles this width is reduced to 5.18 metres (17 ft). The full length of the court is 13.4 metres (44 ft). The service courts are marked by a centre line dividing the width of the court, by a short service line at a distance of 1.98 metres (6.5 ft) from the net, and by the outer side and back boundaries. In doubles, the service court is also marked by a long service line, which is 0.78 metres (2 ft 6 inch) from the back boundary.

badminton has smaller courts and higher nets...

badminton is a sport that does not allow the shuttlecock to bounce..unlike tennis that it can bounce first..

while tennis has wider and bigger courts, with low nets...

hah,hah,...im not alone...that is my situation as well...i have a badminton court but its tennis that i love....so i play badminton using tennis strokes and its fun...to get myself fit, i play one hour of hard hitting badminton using tennis strokes and with no games, just hard hitting with a few minutes for water break...it kept out the unwanted pounds and calories...

Tennis nets are a lot smaller
