The Bavarian giants’ central defender sustained a serious knee injury last month, but is confident about his recovery and wants to be back in action before the end of the current campaign
Bayern Munich centre-back Holger Badstuber is keeping a positive attitude following his five-month spell on the sidelines with an anterior cruciate ligament injury in December. He is looking forward to return to his side and has
set himself the goal of playing again this season.
The young defender suffered the knee injury in the game against reigning German champions’ Borussia Dortmund. He clashed with Mario Gotze at the Allianz Arena and had to be substituted after that. As a result of this, he has endured
a disappointing spell on the treatment table.
On the other hand, Der FCB have continued their great run of form and have a comfortable lead over their rivals at the top of the Bundesliga table. The youngster claimed that he is having trouble spending time without playing football
week in week out. He revealed that he is recovering and his knee is better than before.
"If I were fit, my days wouldn't seem so long. In the first month, the aim is to get the grip back on the knee, we have achieved that now, and have to continue little by little," he was quoted as saying in an interview.
Die Roten fully support their star player in this hard time and displayed that in the match against BATE Borisov in the UEFA Champions League.

"I am proud of how much the team is behind me, the team spirit is greater than previous years. The competition is great, everyone gives everything for success," he added.

"I want to play again this season that is my goal. Whining will not help; I have to look forward to achieve this goal," he mused.
Badstuber is happy to have the backing of his team, and stated that the team spirit is greater than ever at the Allianz Arena. He further added that the competition for places has also improved, and each team member gives his best
to help Bayern win trophies.
