Baek Seuk-hyun leads the third round at the Indian Open with a 68
The third round of the Indian Open ended on Saturday with Baek Seuk-hyun leading with one stroke.
The youth from South Korea played the third day of the Open in a spectacular way owing to his excellent back nine. The twenty-year-old golfer thus carded one stunning eagle along with four birdies in hopes of attaining a stroke’s
front. Seuk-hyun managed to card 68 with a 4 under par in contention with Rikard Karlberg to finish R3.
According to the leader board, Seuk-hyun’s competitor from Sweden carded a 68 at the Delhi Golf Club while Mukesh Kumar carded a 70 as a title scavenger. Along with the Indian veteran, Manav Jaini was also seen in the race and
he collected a score of 71.
From others who booked a place for the third place, Unho Park and Jbe’ Kruger also stepped in the spot light. The Australian and the African golfer thus added a 70 and 69 in their round one and two scores.
With struggle from various places, Seuk-hyun’s play is also being hoarded from the hosts with the likes of Arjun Atwal and Jyoti Randhawa. Atwal is one of the top draws from the Asian Tour while Randhawa is a three-time champion
surging ahead in the fields. However, neither Randhawa nor the golfer from the 1.25million dollar draw has been able to provide a competition strong enough to the South Korean as he continues to play confidently.
The twenty-year-old golfer has until now, collected a total score of 206 and has thus carded a minus 10 after the three rounds of the Indian Open. Seuk-hyun faltered a bit in the middle of his game as he slipped three strokes down
but soon caught up with his lead as he attained the aforementioned eagle. The superb shot was played at the 11th hole at the GC where the golfer advanced the 11th cup with a distance of 152 yards.
The Thai faltered massively at the 12th and 13th hole where his card turned into a bogey and double bogey mess. However, he grabbed his momentum back when 2 birdies and one massive birdie at the 17th hole
subdued the bogey’s odium.
“I played a really exciting game, I had a bad 12th and 13th but the 17th birdie saved me” He said.
“I’ll try not to worry myself much with the crowd, I think ill just focus on how I’m playing” Baek Seuk-hyun said.
