The France international has attracted a lot of interest from English Premier League giants Liverpool FC but has once again reiterated his desire to stay at Stade de Gerland for a long time
Linked with a move to Anfield, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 for a long time and is not looking to seek a move away from the Stade de Gerland.
While talking to reporters regarding his immediate future with the Rhone giants, the man who has already scored nine Ligue 1 goals in 14 games this season, said that it’s not his fault if clubs keep coming up with interesting proposals and added that he
is already at a great club.
The striker then said that he is happy with life between Rhone and Saone and that he wants to stay this winter and also next summer, thus confirming his stance regarding his future.
“It was my desire to stay this summer and it will be the case this winter. It’s not my fault for having interesting proposals. I refused English and Italian clubs. I have no doubt that Remi (Garde) loves me. When I was at Saint-Etienne, he already wanted
to sign me. I knew that I was going to stay in Lyon for a long time. I knew that OL was a really good club to go for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 team. Since my arrival, it has been nice but we still feel hungry for success.”
While talking to reporters last night, club president Jean-Michel Aulas said that there will come a time when he would be forced to take decisions for the good of the club. The Lyon supremo is still worried about Les Gones’ financial situation and knows
that the club needs to further slash down the wage bill.
So, if a good offer came from any of the interested clubs, Lyon might be tempted into selling Gomis whether he likes it or not. However, Remi Garde will have a say in all this which means that the Lyon faithful could see Gomis stay at the club for a long
time.
