<p><strong>Bafetimbi Gomis satisfied with life at Olympique </strong><strong>Lyonnais</strong><strong> – Ligue 1 news</strong></p>
<p>While talking to the RMC, France international Bafetimbi Gomis spoke about his career at Olympique Lyonnais and his future with the French national side that will play in the European Championships in Poland-Ukraine next year.</p>
<p>The 26-year-old striker joined the club from Lyon’s bitter rivals AS Saint-Etienne and since his arrival, the Frenchman has embodied the L1 culture of the club. Both on and off the field, Gomis always defend the colours of Lyonnais.</p>
<p>Despite a small slump in form recently, Gomis is still raring to go all guns blazing for the club.</p>
<p>In an interview with RMC, Gomis spoke about his side’s chances of lifting the Ligue 1 Championelle this term.</p>
<p>Gomis said that the club’s primary goal is to finish in the top three but the striker did not rule Lyon’s out of a title assault.</p>
<p>Gomis said that the last few days of the league would be big and said that his club is no less than the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, LOSC Lille and Olympique de Marseille.</p>
<p>After a 0-0 draw with Ajax in their fifth UEFA Champions League game of the group stages, Les Gones are left with a mountain to climb in order to qualify for the knockout phases. However, Gomis is optimistic about his side’s chances.</p>
<p>“We will play our luck all the way to Zagreb hoping that Real Madrid win big against Ajax. In football, everything is possible. But if you go into Europa League, we will go for a win. We are fully capable of that.”</p>
<p>Gomis has not scored for Les Gones since Week 10 of the Championelle but is hopeful of returning to goalscoring form soon. Gomis claims that he is happy with the club and said that he never doubted Lyon’s ability largely due to the presence of good company
around him.</p>
<p>Though Gomis has not been offered a contract extension yet, the striker is not worried about it. Gomis however revealed that he intends to stay at Lyon for a long time.</p>
<p>However, Gomis also indicated about his love for German football. While talking about a possible move in the future, Gomis honestly said that he would love to play in the Bundesliga.</p>
