The France international has vowed to stay at Stade de Gerland despite reports linking him with a move away from the club
Les Gones are witnessing a major overhaul in their ranks with several leading players on the verge of leaving the club.

However, Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis has refused to seek a move away from the club and has affirmed his commitment to the French side.
Russian side Rubin Kazan, are keeping a close eye on the player and are reportedly interested in acquiring the player’s signature. However, the 26-year-old does not want to leave Lyon and has refused to make a move away from the French club.

While talking to reporters, Gomis, who is currently on the club’s preseason tour, has expressed his desire to continue his adventure with Lyon.
"I have always stated that I want to stay with Lyon, I have huge admiration for this club," Gomis told reporters after.
The former Saint-Etienne player stated that he trust club’s policies and is proud to be playing for one of the best sides in France. The striker believes that it would be foolish for him to move away from the club at this time and it would be unfair to the coach who is counting on him.
"I want to take part in the project. The coach is counting on me and I like playing here. I want to make good preparation and keep myself ready for the next season."
Bafetimbi Gomis enjoyed a successful 2011/2012 Ligue 1 campaign making 35 appearances for the Rhone giants. The Frenchman, who has been capped 6 times by the French national team, scored 14 goals in the league last season providing several assists for his team-mates in the process.
