Bag a Bird?

Question

Two questions... Lets say i kill a small bird (average robin size)

1) What should i put it in to keep it until I get to a taxidermist (a day or 2 at the most)

2)Is there a time limit on when the bird isn't able to be stuffed?

if your planing on killing a robin, dont.

in most states you can spend time in jail and a $1000 fine.

and no one well mount it. because they can get jail time for even haveing it. and that goes with all song birds.

now if you are not killing a song bird, the best thing to do is call the taxidermist and ask how they want it.

Well put it in the freezer and for the length probablly a week.

Call a taxidermist first and see what he recommends to prepare the bird.

I have heard some trophy duck hunters carry ladies nylon hose to put a ducks in to protect it while in the freezer until it can be taken to the shop.

If its only a day or 2 put in a zip lock bag and put in the refrigerator.
