If I travel with my 4 year old who is allowed 15kg, and my 19 month old with no baggage allowance, and I'm allowed 15kg, can I take one suitcase weighing up to 30kg or would I need two suitcases?

Just don't know how I'm going to manage 2 suitcases, 1 buggy and 2 children!

  1. been in same situation MUST be 2 separate cases will not except anything over 30kg

  2. Please please please!!

Check with your airline or travel agent, get the facts.

    Have a nice trip.

  3. 2 cases - they normally won't take anything over 24kg anyway - so even less.  Depends on the carrier though - 15kg looks on the lowside - even Jet2 allow 17kg.

  4. Just bring one big suitcase. I have this HUGE suitcase and its known as the lightest suitcase in the world and you should get that one.

  5. Dear Friend,

Believe me! After 911 things are dramatically changed.  So it will be a good idea if you call the specific airline and ask them.  After all, you might face problem with just an advice.  Thanks.

  6. As long as your suitcase is under 32kgs, you're usually OK.  32kgs is the heaviest possible weight under Health and Safety Regs in the UK - airport baggage handlers are not allowed to lift anything heavier in case of injury.

However, some airlines will not allow you to have over 30kgs, and smaller airlines that deal with package holidays can sometimes be even stricter.  In theory, you should be allowed this, but I would recommend checking the baggage allowance section on your airline's website.

  7. They normally don't accept cases over 20/25KG anymore becuase of the manual handling rules...!

Recommend taking 2 smaller bags to be on the safe side no matter how much more hassle it is!

  8. I would call the Airline and get it straight from the horses mouth, you don't want to show up and be disappointed.

    call them!

    have a great trip!

  9. i think you need 2 separate bags....Try to consolidate as much as you can

take advantage of a skycap...that's what they are there for.  They can help you get to and from a little more easily.
