Baggage checkin - Overnight transfer through Frankfurt airport ?

Hi,

I am travelling to India from Denmark. I usually checkin my baggage through to the final destination. But this time, I have a 13 hour overnight stay in Frankfurt. So I am planning to stay at a nearby hotel. So, will my baggage be automatically handled, or do I have to manually collect it and check it in again next day morning. thanks,

when you depart you should be asked if you want your baggage to be sent directly to your destination or if you want to pick it up at your connecting airport, go ahead and get it sent to your final destination and bring a carry on bag for your hotel stay
