Baggage help for Cathay Pacific?

Question

So I am flying from the U.S. to China and will be staying there for a few days then I will be flying to Vietnam from China.

The airline I am using is Cathay Pacific in Economy class.

I want to know if I should be using 32kg (70lbs) per bag /or 20kg (44lbs), since i will be flying to China then from China to Vietnam?

And if it is two baggage per person?

20 kilos or 44 lbs.  One or two bags combined.
