Baggage transfer in Mumbai Airport shuttle from International to Domestic Terminals

Hi,

I am going to US via Mumbai. HYD - MUM (Jet) and MUM - AMS (KLM) - USA... I have two bags of check-in baggage (23kgs each). If I check-in in HYD should I again take them back in MUM domestic terminal and check-in again in International airport? I heard that if I leave the terminal I cannot use the shuttle service. What exactly is the process for my travel? Please help. My exact question is how to go from Domestic terminal to International terminal with my luggage?

The best way is to checkin  your Baggage to the End Station as per your ticket, so that, from Boarding station till end Station you need not worry for your baggage.   That is as per the International Ticketing Laws. of IATA. The intermediary changes of stations from HYD- to BOM- to AMS it is the problem  of carriers to take care of the Buggage checked in.  If not to pay the cost of losses, as well as the cost of your buggage contents, (Provided you have made the list of contents with Bills of puchases etc. ) if not a loss to you personally    but in general in accordance to the milege you are elligible for compensations. pls. check your ticket, where you find the details.

jet doesnt have a code share with klm.  you can ask them, but most prob they will not check thru the bags and hence you would need to get off and take a cab or a shuttle bus to the international terminal.  it would take 20-45 mins (depending on time of day) to make that 5 km distance.  the waiting time for the bus is around 30 mins or so.

If you have a single ticket ( i.e one PNR ), you can check in your luggage from HYD to AMS . If not, you need to collect your baggage at Mumbai (Domestic).Then contact the ground staffs ( of Jet Airways)  for a transfer to International terminal . They serve free shuttle bus service from  domestic to international terminals & vice versa.

Don't go out of the domestic terminal and contact the ground staffs of either Jet or KLM for transfer to international terminal.

Jet Air have shuttle service from domestic airport to international airport and vice versa.  You can book the baggage directly to the final destination at Hyderabad, so that you need not take out the baggage and airline will take care of the same.

as u have already said, please go in the shuttle bus service. the bus operates from inside the airport only so there will be no problem .
