Bahamas, romantic and fun things to do?

My boyfriend and I are going to the Bahamas for our 1 year anniversary, any ideas on must see's and must do's? Thanks a lot! =D

it all depends on the things you are interested in. some people can go and spend the entire day downtown shopping, including the straw market, downtown and rum, you can't forget the rum. I haven't been to adastra gardens in years, but if you go, go see the Flamingo Show, it is soooo coool to see the birds marching. also you can get a day pass to go to atlantis, it has a cool aquarium, and a water park, i think it is about 100 bucks a day if you buy it from the hotel and 150 if you buy it on the cruise ship. the danger of trying to buy it from the hotel is that they only sell a certain ammount, and if you can get it on the cruise ship you know you can get in.

if you are interested in history, there is the pompey museum (museum on slavery) it is right next to the straw market, the forts (Charlotte and Fincastle) and the queen's stair case they are both walkable from downtown and it is $5 to enter fort charlotte with tour, and fincastle may still be free, but it will not be more than $5 also. if you go on a packaged tour it may cost more. you can also go on excursions to some of the islands, but that tends to take all day and you get wisked away, spend the day on the beach, and not really experience the feel of the place you are visiting.

there is also the clifton heritage park, it is on the complete western edge of the island, and some taxi's will take you on a tour, the park isn't open yet, but will be soon.

but of course if you are looking for romantic, you have to watch the sun set on the beach.
