The Bahawalpur Stags continued their unbeaten run in the ongoing Faysal Bank T-20 tournament with their 5th consecutive win – an 11-run victory over the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hyderabad-c792 Hawks in their Group B match, played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore today on December
6.
Having won the toss and chosen to bat first, the Stags put forth a mediocre batting display, with the Hawks’ http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kashif-Bhatti-c70379 (3-0-34-2) and Rehan Riaz (4-0-26-2) making valiant attempts to curb the opposition.

The bulk of the contributions came from the middle-order, with Ali Haider (40), Usman Tariq (34), and skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nizamuddin-c79762,
and the latter by Kashif Bhatti – the skipper managed to stick it out until the end. Aided by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Talha-c77400 (7*), Player of the Match Khilji guided his team up to a final total of 154, at the expense of 7 wickets.
The Stags’ bowling attack then proceeded to successfully defend the middling total their batsmen had posted. Skipper Khilji (3-0-24-2) once again chipped in with a sizeable contribution, and was supported by Mohammad Talha (4-0-40-2) and Kamran Hussain (4-0-26-2).
Openers http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lal-Kumar-c72135 (21) were the only other batsmen who managed competitive performances, while Mir Ali (15)
failed to convert his start into a substantial figure.
Skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rehan-Riaz-c84633, and Mohammad Shehroz all scored one run each. The Hawks eventually found themselves at 143 for 8 by the end of 20 overs, with the Stags clinching an 11-run win.
