If so, then he would more probably be the grandfather of John Morehead, rather than the father. John, a minor, was named the son of Charles Morehead, deceased in Charles' 1705/06 will in Northumberland Co., VA. Believed to have married 1st to Jane Presley and 2nd to Sarah Nelms. Sarah was his widow. Charles had 8 children. From HUMSTON GLEANINGS: Jane Presley born 29 Jan 1652, parents Peter and Winifred Presley. Married Charles Morehead, had son, John.)
