Baileys Jubilee targeting the Langleys Solicitors LLP E B F Marygate Fillies’ Stakes at York for striking a hat trick
The Class 1 Langleys Solicitors LLP E B F Marygate Fillies’ Stakes will be staged at York over five furlongs on Friday, 18th May. Competing for the £17,760 prize money is a line-up of eleven runners.
The contestants are packed with talent as nearly all of them have posted a victory either through the most recent race or career debut.
The most credible candidate for the race is Baileys Jubilee, Bahamian Bounty’s two-year-old bay filly out of mare, Missisipi Star. She is unbeaten through the two career starts.
Her career shot off with a win in the Betfred The Bonus King Bingo/British Stallion Studs E B F Maiden Stakes on 7th April at Kempton over five furlongs. She broke into the race with very high determination and scored a win with a four lenghts’
lead when riding with Silvestre De Sousa.
Marvelino settled as the runner up while the 5/6 favourite of the race, Lyric Ace, ended fourth on the line-up of ten.
She then ended as the 2/5 favourite winner of the Equestrianartuk.Com Conditions Stakes on 18th April at Newmarket over five furlongs.
She won by a good eight lengths which made Lucky Beggar settle right behind as the runner up. Closing on for the third position was Dreamy Ciara.
She already has two wins under her belt raced over the same distance and with the same jockey but at two different venues.
The distance and the ride still remain the same but the race will be held at York this time.
Ingleby Royale, Lothian Countess and Somethingboutmary have bagged their seasonal debuts. All of them have dominated the races at different race courses but none were at York. Their second seasonal attempt will be at York.
Ceiling Kitty, Red Clubs’ two-year-old bay filly out of mare, Baldovina, recently won through the third outing of the season after missing the first two career attempts.
She won the Bet On Your Mobile At Blue Square E B F Maiden Stakes on 7th May at Kempton over five furlongs. She set the 4/6 favourite of the race, Citius, into the runner up’s position while leading by half a length.
The race will be trying for Baileys Jubilee with a line-up that is lightly raced and also has an entry who will race the career debut.
