Baily Green convinced about the Grade 3 Kilbegnet European Breeders Fund Novice Chase
The Grade 3 Kilbegnet European Breeders Fund Novice Chase has attracted five four-year and above runners who will race over two miles in order to get entitled to the €24,375 prize money. The race will be staged at Roscommon race course on Monday, 1st October, 2012.
The most commendable entry for the race is the six-year-old bay gelding, Baily Green. He has raced seven times during the current campaign, the last four outings have been credited as successes against his name.
The M. F. Morris trained won the www.roscommonracecourse.ie Beginners Chase on 21st May, 2012 at Roscommon over two miles. He raced through the ten fence field, and defeated the favourite entry, Laganbank, by 2 ½ lengths.
This success became possible under the guidance of jockey, D. J. Casey.
Next, he was dominant in the Dermot Hughes Toyota Car Sales Novice Chase on 11th June, 2012 at Roscommon race course over two miles. In companion ship with the same jockey, Baily Green won the race by four lengths from, Galloping Gander.
The favourite entry, Absolutlyfantastic, ended third in the field of seven.
After striking a back-to-back, King’s Theatre’s bay gelding out of, Dream On Boys, struck a hat-trick by winning the Grant Thornton Novice Chase on 26th July, 2012 at Limerick over two miles and 3 ½ furlongs.
The favourite entry was highly impressive in the attempt and gained prominence right after the race began. In the field of fourteen fences, the mount of jockey, D. J. Casey, was ahead of the runner-up, Gimli’s Rock, by two fences and three lengths.
The six-year-old Irish bay gelding then reached beyond hat-trick by landing the K.W.D. Handicap Hurdle (Grade C) on 1st September, 2012 at Killarney over two miles and a furlong.
Racing over ten hurdles with jockey, D. J. Casey, Baily Green defeated the favourite entry, Domination, by the mark of a nose.
The star entry of the line-up is backed by 7 to 4 odds, and will get to join teams with jockey, D. J. Casey for a straight fifth time.
The 6 to 4 shot of the race, Dylan Ross, is the one to look out for.
