Baily Green geared up to earn sixth straight success
Much to the surprise of many sport fans, Baily Green gained some miraculous strength with the dawn of the calendar year, but some analysts termed it to be the jockey factor. From May 21 to October 1, the M. F. Morris trained bay gelding brilliantly won all of his five starts consecutively under D. J. Casey. It looks astonishing and charming at the same time.
Currently, the six-year-old veteran Irish horse is afloat with winning momentum that will surely help him set a record of half a dozen of consecutive conquests by finishing first in today’s Buck House Novice Chase (Grade 3) that is scheduled to go down at Punchestown.
The brilliant young gelding will have to run over 2 miles and 2 furlongs along with five mighty rivals. The track surface is heavy, equal to the one he faced in the last outing.
Much to his advantage, the R. A. Scott owned runner has experienced every sort of grounds in his 19-race career. Thus, he feels quite comfortable to run and win everywhere in Ireland and abroad.
Baily Green last ran at Punchestown in May 2011 and finished 6th in the 15-runner contest of Star Best For Racing Coverage Novice Hurdle.
As a whole, the skilled horse has six epic triumphs to his name. After breaking his maiden in March last year, he had to suffer some awful setbacks in the preceding months.
After a strenuous struggle, the son of King’s Theatre out of Dream On Boys managed to find form in May 2012.
He started his five-victory streak with the title of the WWW.Roscommonracecourse.ie Beginners Chase. That was followed by his 4-length convincing success in the Dermot Hughes Toyota Car Sales Novice Chase.
Baily Green beautifully won Grant Thornton Novice Chase by three lengths at Limerick before sealing top spot in the K.W.D. Handicap Hurdle (Grade C). His last triumph came in Kilbegnet European Breeders Fund Novice Chase (Grade 3).
What an overwhelming record! Thus, the gelding is keen to extent his success streak further, and hopefully, he will be able to do it. Let us move to the venue to enjoy Baily Green’s fascinating run. Good luck to him.
