How many hours drive is it from Tijuana BC to Loreto Baja California? Is it safe?

Hola.  Its exactly 721km or  1161miles from TJ to Loreto.  It depends on how fast, how much you want to drive, or how often you stop.  But for the most part give yourself a day or a day and 1/2.  The road isn't bad, but you'll find parts are only two lanes without shoulders and the crazy truckers like to drive down the middle.  I'd also suggest not driving at night...lots of suicidal cows and vehicles without headlights.  Bring extra tire and extra gas.  Safe, as long as you use your common sense.

I don't remember how many hours, it was years ago the last time I went.I recall it was perfectly safe.
