Bakary Sako of AS Saint-Etienne attracting interest from the Bundesliga – Ligue 1 news

The 23-year-old is currently under contract at Ligue 1 side AS Saint-Etienne where he has made an excellent start to the 2011/2012 Ligue 1 Championnat. Reports suggest that the youngster is under the radar of VfB Stuttgart who have reportedly contacted the
player’s agent.
However, things have certainly changed a lot for the 23-year-old in recent weeks. The arrival of Gradel and Nicolita has meant that the midfielder is finding it hard to stamp his authority in the starting XI with Les Verts.
In recent months, the Frenchman of Malian decent was the strongman of ASSE despite lack of goals. the new competition has now pushed a lot of questions in front of the midfielder. Reports in L’Equipe claim that the youngster even went to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 to visit

Reports claim that the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881 and Schalke 04 are also keen on signing the midfielder and it is becoming more and more likely that Sako will eventually leave the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard if his playing time would melt like snow in the sun.
However, it has been argued that Saint-Etienne would certainly be looking to hold on to the youngster for at least this season and might try their best in order to make the player unavailable for the upcoming winter transfer window.
Rapidly rising in the Ligue 1 standings following a sluggish start to the campaign, Les Verts are looking to do even better in the second half of the campaign in order to at least qualify for next season’s UEFA Europa League.

So far, Sako has made 68 appearances for Les Verts and with his playing time considerably reduced despite a decent start to the new campaign, a move away from the club can’t be ruled out.
