Baking Cake Help!? No method only ingredients ?

Ok, my Mum wrote down a recipe for a cake for me to make for as having guests round tomorrow. Unfortunately though, she simply listed the ingredients and not said what to do. She's on holiday now and so stuck! I've never baked before so haven't a clue where to start. Any ideas on how to make it with the listed ingreidents? Thanks

P.S If you can help, please write method as though you're teaching a two year old as I am really that hopeless!! :-(

Ingredients:

5 eggs beaten

1 cup sugar

1 cup veggie oil

1 cup milk

1 cup semolina

1 cup flour

Vanilla

Baking Powder

  1. make sure you beat the eggs, then stir in the other ingredients.  Pre-heat your oven to 350 Fahrenheit (160 Celsius) and bake until you can stick a toothpick in and have it come out clean (about 25 minutes.)


  2. Heres what to do:

         mix the sugar and oil together, then add eggs, then flour and baking powder, semolina, milk and vanilla.  Might be messy, but it will work.  Pour into greased and floured cake pan(s) and bake at 350 degrees until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean. Bake about 30 minutes before opening oven door to test with toothpick.  Be careful not to slam the oven door, or your cake will fall flat.

  3. beat the 5 eggs together very well.

    add the sugar, oil, milk and vanilla mix well

    add the semolina mix well

    add the flour and baking powder mix for 2 minutes

    grease your cake pan then put flour in pan and tilt the pan to the flour is evenly coated the pan.

    pour the cake batter in the pan and bake

    I usually bake my cakes at 350 for 25 minutes adding a couple of minutes if not done

  4. Ah, thats no problem at all.

    Using an electric mixer, beat the eggs with the sugar until light in color, very very pale yellow. They should fall in ribbons from the beaters.

    Then slowly drizzle in the vegetable oil, followed by the milk.

    In anothe bowl, combine the flour, semolina, and baking powder, just to mix it together.

    Pour the liquids onto the dry stuff, and mix just until combined, adding the vanilla.

    Pour the batter into greased pans (cake pans sprayed with PAM will work).

    Bake at 350 F for about 20ish minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean from the middle.

    Cool completely before frosting.

In a large bowl combine the wet ingredients...eggs first, then sugar, oil, milk then vanilla being sure to mix well after each addition.In a smaller bowl combine the dry ingredients.  Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones mixing well after each addition of the dry ingredients.  Pour the batter into your cake pan(s) that has been greased with shortening or butter and sprinkled with flour so it doesn't stick.  After you pour the batter in the pans tap the pans on the counter a few times to get out any air bubbles in the batter.  Bake at 350F for about 20 minutes and check to see if it is done after that time.
