I have a 17lb prime rib, that I'm going to put in a deep pan and slowly bake in the over. i was wonder the temperate to time to cook per lb. Anyway, its just your basic prime rib with a 2'' lip. I like to slow cook it for many hours, just to bring the middle temp to around rare, med-rare, then i cook it to temperature in a pot of au jus. anyway, any info would be appreciated.
