Question:

Baking soda - whitening teeth?

I heard that if you brush your teeth with baking soda, it will whiten your teeth - is this true? If so, about how long does it take untill you see a dramatic change? - And, anyone have any other tips on how to whiten your teeth *other than just twice a day brushing!*?

Thanks

  1. Yes baking soda does work, the crest strips work good, but they just have bleach in them. Bleach is very dangerous to youre body, if you drink it you may die.

    Plus those strips taste NASTY!

Whiten youre teeth like this, Put a good tooth paste on youre brush and sprinkle the paste with baking soda, and use that.

    Then just rinse it out.

Youre teeth will get white in about 2-4 weeks.

    Do it the less dangerously.

  2. Baking soda does work! It will not have extremely dramatic change but will still cause change! You can try Listerine whitening mouthwash which works pretty well. Also do the small things like use whitening gum and drinking colored drinks with a straw.

  3. yes it works and as long as you use it

  4. well..it is true that baking soda whitens your teeth..but i think what would be more useful is for you to use crest white strips..they work within a few days..my friend's mom uses them...and boy can you tell the difference.

  5. It works. Baking soda can work wonders on teeth. Use a bowl to mix a small amount of baking soda with even less water. Apply the mixture to your teeth and wait about one minute. Brush the excess off and rinse your mouth. You only want to do this every 2-3 weeks to avoid damaging your enamel.
