The FC Kaiserslautern manager has advised his players to remain firm despite losing to Freiburg at the weekend.
Kaiserslautern boss, Krasimir Balakov, expressed his dissatisfaction after losing to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cedric-Makiadi-c8641 and
Karim Guede scored goals for the home side.
Balakov lamented the fact that his side conceded two goals inside the opening 14 minutes which allowed Freiburg enough breathing space. He mentioned that there were a lot of individual mistakes committed on the night and the Red
Devils would need to improve soon to ensure their stay in the top division.
The tactician, who was in-charge of his first game at the club, opined that if his team had not conceded those early goals then the result might have been different. However, he still applauded the way Kaiserslautern responded
after going two goals down. Balakov confirmed that Die roten Teufel do not have enough time at their disposal and should get things back on track in the next fixture.
While talking to official Bundesliga website, the boss further added:
"We need to change some things as quickly as possible but unfortunately we don't have much time left. After their second goal I saw a lot of positives. We showed a lot of character and morale and at least tried to fight our way
back into the game. We will continue fighting, even though it'll be very, very difficult now.”
On the other hand, Kaiserslautern midfielder, Christian Tiffert, also expressed his disappontment on the team’s loss to Freiburg. He insisted that it was an important game and Kaiserslautern cannot afford to make any more mistakes
especially when they are fighting for survival.
"It's disappointing that we lost out because of two individual mistakes in such an all-or-nothing game. We have to believe in ourselves and keep working. We don't have any other choice," the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 U-21 international concluded.
Kaiserslautern were punished after Rodnei took advantage of a misplaced pass and slipped the ball to Guede who opened the scoring in the eighth minute. Makiadi doubled the lead in the 14th minute after goalkeeper Oliver
Baumann was found out of position from Tobias Sippel's corner.
As a result, Kaiserslautern are rooted at the bottom of the league standings with 20 points from 27 games while Freiburg have pushed their way to the 13th spot with 28 points.
