P4H10 + H2O =

plus- help with a thermochemical reaction for the combustion of ethane, given that one mole releases 500kJ of energy would be greatly appreciated...

  1. I agree with the answers already given, but I can tell you that refractory aluminum oxide will not react with HCl at all. The mineral corundum, Al2O3, is completey resistant to hydrochloric acid even at the boiling point of the acid. I don't think any grade of the oxide will react, but Al(OH)3 will dissolve in HCL.

    At 100 bars pressure and 300 deg C there may be a reaction. Who knows?
