Aluminum hydroxide neutralized by sulphuric acid

2Al(OH)3 + 3H2SO4 --> Al2(SO4)3 + 6H2O

KI added to Pb(NO3)2

2KI + Pb(NO3)2 --> 2K(NO3) + PbI2

*Can you help me identify the precipitate in the second equation? Thanks for your help.

  1. Looks good.  Nitrates are generally soluble (and potassium nitrate is), so the precipitate would be lead iodide.  You don't need the parens in the formula for potassium nitrate.
