Today I noticed a bald spot on my one year old cat's ear. We don't have any other cats, just her. What does that mean? Is she alright?

  1. I'm sure it's fine but keep an eye on the area, she could be rubbing it for some reason.

  2. Is there a matching balding spot on the ear and is this spot more on the forehead in front of the ear?

If so, this is normal.  All cats have it to some extent.

If not, watch it to see if it gets worse or if it becomes infected. If so, then see a vet.

  3. It could be ring worm,  which is not really a worm but a fungus. If it gets bigger take her to the vet for meds to kill it. You can also get ring worm from her. It is easily treated  and cured.
