Balder Succes to sail through the “National Hunt” Novices’ Hurdle at Ascot
Ascot will be packed as race enthusiasts anxiously await the Trisoft “National Hunt” Novices’ Hurdle on 18th February, 2012. A purse of £10,010 will be awarded to the three contenders who finish the 2 mile contest first.
The seven runners who will be competing in this race will be Hazy Tom, Captain Sunshine, Fairy Rath, Ice ‘N’ Easy, Inspector Qics, Balder Succes, and Une Artiste.
Hazy Tom, son of Heron Island out of The Wounded Cook, will be running his seasonal debut in this race.
He secured third place on 16th December, 2011 at Ascot in the Grade 2 Mitie Kennel gate Novices’ Hurdle.
Captain Sunshine, son of Oscar out of Gaye Fame, competed in his seasonal debut at Kempton in the Download Williamhill.com On Your Mobile Novices’ Hurdle.
He fell with over 1 length in front and kept on when divided but later, fell last. He looked like the likely winner before the fall.
Fairy Rath, son of Accordion out of Killoughey Fairy, started off 2012 with a solid run.
He secured a third place win at Folkestone in the 10% Cashback At Totepool.com Today “National Hunt” Novices’ Hurdle which took place on 31st January, 2012.
Ice ‘N’ Easy, the 6 year-old gelding, whelped to Dushyantor out of Glacial Valley, started 2012 with a much better performance.
On 16th December 2011, he finished 10th at Uttoxeter in the Douglas Family “National Hunt” Maiden Hurdle.
The seasonal debut showed improvement on 19th January, 2012, at Taunton, in the Check Betfair Before You Bet Novices’ Hurdle, when he finished 4th.
Inspector Qics, son of Alflora out of Tamergale, will be facing serious competition as his seasonal debut did not go as well as his trainer, Martin Hill expected.
He finished in 9th place in the Rutland Antique Centre Bakewell Novices’ Hurdle at Newbury on the 18th of January.
Une Artiste, the 4-year-old daughter of Alberto Giacometti out of Castagnette began her year as impressively as she finished the last one.
She finished 1st on 10th December, 2011, at Pau, in the Prix De Lacommane. She repeated this outstanding performance on 5th January, 2012, at the same racecourse at Pau, in the Prix D’Oloron Hurdle.
Balder Succes is in outstanding form and bookies are paying special attention to him.
The son of Goldneyev out of Frija Eria has been achieving victory in his first two races in January.
He dominated the race at Plumpton in At The Races Sky 415 Novices’ Hurdle on 2nd January, 2012, and gained pace on Jodawes.
At Ascot, in the Follow@Ascotinsider On Twitter Juvenile Hurdle on 21st January 2012, Balder Succes showed his strength as he achieved first place victory over Brilliant Barca and Cuban Piece.
Speculators predict that Balder Succes is in good shape and he will be able to make his way through the wire first.
