The former Espanyol star was involved in a locker room bust up with rookie midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Erik-Lamela-c12758 and he punched the Argentinean on his face following the defeat against Udinese recently. The teammates had to step up to separate
the two players and Enrique recently found the Italian international guilty and handed him with a 10 day suspension and also imposed a hefty fine of 50,000 Euros.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Osvaldo-c28821 joined the Giallorossi in the summer transfer window from Espanyol for a fee close to 20-million-Euros. The striker has been in superb run of form throughout the 2011/12 season and has unarguably been the best player for
the club thus far. However, Baldini has backed the manager’s decision and he believes that he has set a perfect example to avoid such incidents in the future. The chief insisted that they will not compromise on the discipline and no player is bigger than the
club. The 51-year-old praised Enrique and believes that the Spaniard made the decision with great honesty and on moral values.
“Luis Enrique did well with Osvaldo, as he needs to set an example, but in any case it was a decision made by all of the staff. Whether we agree with his choices or not, we all appreciate Luis Enrique’s great moral honesty. He
says things to your face and if you don’t have that intransigence in Rome, you get sucked in pretty quickly.”
“It will be a great festival of football with the Spanish Coach and I repeat we will bring Roma to a level where winning must be a constant.”
Baldini is worried by the lack of results for Roma and has demanded more victories from the team. The General Manager admitted that the club has performed beyond his expectations thus far but they have lost too many matches. However,
he has full faith in Enrique and believes that the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 star will take the club to new heights.
Roma have picked up 17 points from 12 matches played thus far this season and are placed 7th in the league table.
