Balducci to prevail in the Wright Hassall Solicitors Conditions Stakes
The Class 3 Wright Hassall Solicitors Conditions Stakes will be hosted by Warwick over seven furlongs and twenty-six yards on Monday, 27th August. The £6,663 prize money of the race has attracted six three-year and above contestants who will be
racing at Warwick for the first time ever since the new season kick started. With the exception of Atlantic Sport, all the other entries have only failed during the new season.
The most preferred for winning the race today is the five-year-old 5 to 2 entry for the race, Balducci. The bay gelding is yet to post victory during the new season and the best that he has managed is the runner-up’s position in the most recent try.
Dansili’s gelding broke into the season with an eleventh position in the SMKA – MK By Honeywell (Handicap) on 20th January, 2012 at Meydan over a mile. The good ground favoured Blue Panis who won the race with jockey, Olivier Peslier, by 2 ¼ lengths.
Finishing the closest to the winner was, Masteroftherolls.
The favourite entry of the race, Start Right, ended fourth.
The next two races of the David Simcock trained were dreadful failures.
He finally showed improvement through the fourth outing of the season as he qualified as the runner-up in the Adnams Copper House Distillery EBF Conditions Stakes on 4th August, 2012 at Newmarket over a mile.
The race was won by the favourite entry, Tazahum, who edged past the runner-up, Balducci, by 1 ¾ lengths. The five-year-old bay gelding out of, Miss Meltemi, tracked the leaders for the first five furlongs of the race. When there remained the final furlong,
Balducci had a one on one with Tazahum.
Coming at terms with the third position was, Dance And Dance.
The G. Russell bred will be paired up with jockey, Jamie Spencer, and the duo has drawn the fifth gate to break from.
He will need to look out for Atlantic Sport, Morache Music and Regal Parade.
Atlantic Sport won the Bet365 Handicap on 7th July, 2012 at Haydock over seven furlongs. He is paired up with the same jockey and is backed by 13 to 2 odds for claiming the race.
