Tottenham Hotspur players Gareth Bale and Clint Dempsey are expecting a tough test at Carrow Road tonight as they prepare for the Capital One Cup clash against Norwich City.
Tottenham will travel to Carrow Road and are not taking the fixture lightly, especially after seeing the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Canaries-c38723 fight back to earn a draw against them at White Hart Lane in the Premier League earlier this season.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gareth-Bale-c14422 has warned his teammates not to take Norwich lightly and has warned against complacency ahead of the game. Despite Norwich struggling to get results, the Welshman expects a tough test.
Bale has been in fine form for the club, and was on target once again as Tottenham managed a 1-2 away victory against Southampton in the league this past weekend.
The result had helped Tottenham move up to the top four, and puts them in a good position after the horrendous 2-4 defeat against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 at White Hart Lane two weeks ago.
In spite of their recent form, the Welsh winger was quick to point out that the North London club cannot afford to get complacent against Norwich. Speaking to the club’s official website, Bale said:
“They’re a team that works hard for 90 minutes and they’re going to give us a hard time, so we’ll have to be fully prepared.”
“We’ll have to sit down and have a look what their weaknesses are. Hopefully we can exploit them and come away with a good result.”
Clint Dempsey was also on the score sheet in the victory against Southampton, and has been impressive since he made his move to White Hart Lane from Craven Cottage. The forward has bags of Premier League experience and has already become a vital member of
the Tottenham squad.
The American international is also looking forward to the game, and expects a difficult night at Carrow Road. He said:
“It’s going to be a difficult game. Norwich are a team that does have quality and a good work-rate. We will have to go there, be sharp and put in a professional performance. If we go there and play as we are capable of, we will be fine."
