Tottenham Hotspur winger http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gareth-Bale-c14422 has claimed that he never thought about leaving Tottenham, despite speculated interest from some of the biggest teams in Europe.

The Welsh winger was linked with a move away from White Hart Lane all summer long. Reports claimed that the player would leave if fellow star players http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luka-Modric-c22857 (who moved to Real Madrid last month) and Rafael Van Der Vaart (now a Hamburg player) left the
club.
Bale laid rest to all speculation by signing a contract extension in June after the Euro 2012 tournament. However, reports linking the player with a move away from North London resurfaced when there were rumours about interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid.
The Welsh international rose to prominence as an attacking full-back, and was later converted to an all out attacking winger to make use of his exceptional pace and directness. Bale’s emergence as Tottenham’s major attacking force led to many clubs inquiring
about his availability, with Madrid and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 leading the pack.
The player further silenced most of his doubters by signing the contract extension, but there were still many who thought he would depart. When asked if he considered leaving Tottenham, Bale said:
“No. I've always been focused on my game, playing football, and I'm enjoying myself here at the moment so there's no reason to go anywhere.”
The winger recently scored his first goal of the season in the 1-3 win against Reading at the Madejski Stadium, helping manager Andre Villas-Boas to his first win in the Premier League as Spurs boss. Bale was a relieved man after the game and spoke about
the new Spurs squad and their title aspirations.
“It feels like a new club at the moment with the new training ground. It has excited everybody, and has brought everybody up again."
"Everybody just has to be patient. Things will come and it'll start to click like it did yesterday and, hopefully, we can push on from there. We've got a stronger squad now than we did at the start of the season. Our plan is to win every game."
