Tottenham Hotspur’s winger, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gareth-Bale-c14422 believes that his side can reach the finals of the FA Cup, following their convincing win over Bolton Wanderers in the quarter finals.
Both the teams took the field, following a ten day delay after the game between the two teams was initially called off.
The last time the two teams stepped onto the pitch to face each other in the FA Cup, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabrice-Muamba-c13216 went on to suffer from a cardiac arrest and as a result, the match was delayed.
Last night, the two teams stepped onto the pitch to finish off what they started and following a brilliant display from Tottenham, the Spurs went on to win by three goals to one.
However, despite Bale having scored in the game, he went on to praise the Bolton keeper, since he believes the keeper went on to keep his side in the game for as long as he could have.
Bale is quoted to have said: "Yeah, he [Bogdan] had an unbelievable game but in the first half we had a lot of chances and didn’t quite capitalise. We said at half-time if we keep creating chances, we’re going to score and thankfully we did"
The attacker then went on to reveal that the plan was to score the first goal, which would give the team the confidence to go on and score more goals after that.
"We knew if one went in we could get a few more so it was great to see the first one go in and it gives the team confidence and we pushed on from there."
He then ended by admitting that the win was long overdue for the team and the fans, considering how the team had been performing rather poorly in recent weeks.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wales-c3041 international then added: "It’s fantastic, not just for us but for the supporters. We’ve had a long, hard season and we showed out there how much we want to keep improving and get off the bad run. We’ve got a win now and hopefully we can keep that
going in the FA Cup and the league.”
