Tottenham Hotspur player http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gareth-Bale-c14422 has hinted at a possible summer move away from White Hart Lane sometime in the future, with Real Madrid strongly linked to the player.
The Welsh winger has been strongly linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid as far back as last season. The player rose to prominence ever since he made the move to Tottenham from Southampton.
Bale initially started out his career as a left-back, but was later converted into a winger in order to make more full use of his pace, attacking prowess and his deadly left foot. The conversion proved to be successful, and the player has now become one
of the most feared attackers in the country.
The 23 year old was linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer, but laid all speculation to rest as he signed a contract extension with Spurs.
Bale is understood to be on Madrid’s radar, and with increasing speculation, manager Andre Villas-Boas had to speak out on the matter. The Portuguese tactician had admitted last month that Bale may be allowed to leave if a hefty offer is made for his services.
However, the manager later backtracked on his comments and said that the club intends on holding on to its major players and has no intention of letting them go.
The midfielder was asked by reporters about the situation, and admitted that he would not mind moving away sometime in the future to experience another culture and undertake a new challenge. The player has time and time again stressed his desire to be playing
in the Champions League, and this is considered the main reason why he would move abroad.
Speaking to reporters, the player had said:
“It would be nice to experience other leagues and other cultures. I’ve always said I’m not afraid to go abroad. If the time comes and a team that’s right comes in for me, then I’ll look at it seriously and see what happens.”
“Everybody wants to be playing in the Champions League. Obviously we were unfortunate not to get in there last season but the UEFA Europa League is the next best thing. We’ve all put 100% in every game we have played, and we’ve taken it seriously. Hopefully
we can win this one.”
