Tottenham Hotspurs’ forward, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gareth-Bale-c14422 has admitted that he is confident that the Spurs can go on and qualify for the UEFA Champions League at the end of the season, given the way the team has been playing so far this season.
Last season, Tottenham managed to finish in the fourth spot in the league table, but with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 going on to win the Champions League, they went on to qualify ahead of Tottenham. This had not done well for the team and the players confidence, but they seem
to be doing rather fine this time around.
The club is sitting in the fourth spot in the league, and they are looking to ensure that they stay seated where they are.
When talking about the way the season has been going, and while highlighting the fact that Tottenham should go on and finish in the top four, the Welsh superstar is reported to have said: "We have learned from our mistakes from previous years and now we
can be a lot stronger going in to the finishing end of the season so I hope we can do it"
"In recent years we have kind of gone off the boil a little at this time of the season but I think the lads have got a lot more confidence."
Bale then went on to talk about his performance in the game against Newcastle this past weekend. The attacker went on to score two goals in the game, but could have easily gotten his hat trick in the match as well.
Nonetheless, despite him failing to score three goals, he still helped the team go on and secure a two goals to one win, which was enough to help them secure all three points from the match.
"I was absolutely fuming [that I didn't get a hat-trick]," he admitted.
"I missed a few chances, especially the one with my right foot, but the most important thing was that we got the three points to put the pressure on the teams above us and below.”
"I am enjoying my game at the moment and the team is playing well, which always makes it easier."
