The son of Ballingarry, out of Marie de Motreff, bagged a victory in his next race as he defeated Starimperial by 8 lengths, in the Prix De La Rise, at Clairefontaine, by 24th August, 2010.
Sire Collonges, son of Dom Alco, out of Idylle Collonges, will be racing in his seasonal debut in this race.
The 6-year-old gelding could not complete his last race. He fell when he was in 8th place, in the Silver Cross Handicap Hurdle, held at Aintree, on 7th April, 2011.
Ebanour, trained by Donald McCain, looks in good shape. He won the confidence of the punters as he finished second in the John Smith’s Novices’ Hurdle, held at Musselburgh, on 11th February, 2012.
The son of Indian Ridge, out of Ebadiyla, secured a victory in the closing race of 2011.
The 5-year-old gelding defeated Dark Shadow, in 3 ½ lengths, in the Victorchandler.com “National Hunt” Novices’ Hunt, which was held at Doncaster, on 9th December, 2011.
Zafranagar, son of Cape Cross, out of Zafaraniya, finished as a runner-up in his first race of 2012.
He was defeated by Lucaindubai by ½ a length, in the Best Odds Guaranteed With Williamhill.com Mobile Handicap Hurdle, which took place at Kempton, on 14th January, 2012.
His most recent performance was less than satisfactory.
The 7-year-old gelding finished 7th in a line-up of 13, in the John Smith’s Scottish County Hurdle, held at Musselburgh, on 11th February, 2012.
His trainer is hoping that Zafranagar will leave this performance behind and show improvement in this race.
King Zeal, trained by Barry Leavy, has shown remarkable improvement this year.
The 8-year-old son of King’s Best, out of Manureva, was defeated by Sophonie by 2 ¾ lengths, in the Digibet.com Novices’ Handicap Hurdle, which took place at Uttoxeter, on 28th January, 2012.
Balgarry will be competing in this race as a favourite. He is gaining popularity in the market and the odds are stacking in his favour. His winning odds are 3 to 1.
King Zeal does not have immense market popularity but his recent performance has given his connections confidence about his ability to secure a placed position.
Zafranagar is also looking to finish in second place.
Sire Collonges might finish in third place.
