Ball Python Eligale In Ny?

Would it be eligale if i had a Ball Python shipped to me? I live In Newyork and its eligale here.Would i get in trouble for haveing it shipped? please answer.

Are you sure ball pythons are illegal? I think it's just the larger constrictors, such as Burmese pythons which are illegal in New York. But if they are illegal, which I doubt, you would be breaking the law. The buyer is always responsible for following local laws when having an animal shipped. It is not the responsibilty of the breeder/dealer.
