Ball Python help Answer ASAP?

Question

i bought ball python yesterday and i dont have a top for his cage yet how do i get him to stay in his cage he is about 2 ft long and i have a 10 gallon tank with a lid but he rubs his nose on the tophow do i get him to stay any tips

put a brick on top of it until you can get a better tank.

Put a semi-heavy rock on the top or a brick so the top cannot be pushed off

As the other answers on here say. Put something heavy on the top or he will escape.

You should get a decent locking lid asap.

Or you could just get a plastic tub/box with a clip top untill you sort out your vivarium properly. Just make sure you still put in the heat source and hides.

He will get road rash on his nose if he keeps it up. Put something smooth on the top. Hold that down with a brick. I have Tap Plastics in my area and I had a nice top made for my tank out of some of their scrap pieces, I used two pieces, and a hinge so that I can open half at a time and it is easy to drill a few holes in the center of the plastic for ventilation.
