Ball on table question?

I was shooting some 9 ball the other night 5 bucks a game nothing serious guy slames the 6 ball hard in to the end rail the cue jumps up on the side rail runs it down a foot or so falls back on table makes the 7 I give him the shot he runs the 6 8 9 was it a foul or not just courious

A wild shot but no foul .You could win by betting he cant do it again.Funny but legal

It's a good shot, d**n lucky shot, but I see no foul. White ball didn't leave the table and came to rest on the table it's good.

It's only a foul if the cue ball touches something off the table. If it jumped up and hit the light fixture, or touched a piece of chalk sitting on the rail, it would be a foul. Otherwise, it is fine.

Sorry Bill you will have to get him next time he won the cue leaving the table would not be a foul same result as a jump shot,If it had left the table then of course ball in hand foul.
