  1. red tailed boa if you want a bigger snake but they are docile and perfect BIG snake for beginers although you would need to dedicate a lot of time and space to keep one

ball python if you want a smaller docile snake but they can be a pain to feed at times refusing to eat for months but you might get a good feeder

    so its up to you

    i have 2 boa constrictors

    it was my first snake

    they are my favourite snakes

    stunning :)

  2. it depends i've had both they all have great tempers. if its your first snake i would say the ball python...they dont get too big and they're easy to handle. red tailed boas get really big so if you think you can house and take care of a snake who can get like 10 ft. then go for it.

  3. I say Ball Python, but i'm biased since I think Stanley (my BP) is just the greatest little guy ever.

    :-)

  4. all depends on what you are after. you have not given much info as to whether it is your first snake, how much space you have, whether you can make your own enclosure etc..i have a royal python, it was my first snake, was going to get an RTB but simply because of the size they get to decided to go for a royal to get used to snakes and handling snakes. royals can go off feed as somebody said but mine has never, nor has it ever struck at me. both are docile snakes and should tame up well with good handling and proper care. i would go for the ball python and then if you still want a bigger snake get a RTB hope this helped

  5. i have both. and it really depends if you could handle & house a snake that can get 10 feet. both of mine are great, and have never struck at me or anyone else. so really do you want a snake that stays pretty small, or one that requires a house that you have to build
