  1. i would say 4ft by 2ft by 1ft

  2. ball pythons grow to their envirorment, i have two of them personally here at home, one is over five ft long, while the other is just under four ft. their the same age, yet they live happily in a cage and a tank.

Bane, my five ft ball python, lives in a four ft, x four ft cage, whereas Roman, lives in a twenty gallon tank. they are fed and handled on a daily basis.

only when ball pythons are released into the "wild" do they grow bigger then their envirorment.

  3. that is plenty big. a full grown ball python will be more than happy in a 40 gallon. but of you can provide that kind of set up i would go for it. but it is not necessary.

    2 ball pythons

    1 red tail boa

    2 bearded dragons

    1 leopard gecko

  4. mkg101carp is WRONG!!!! REPTILES DO NOT GROW TO THEIR TANK SIZE!!!! The reason why she has one ball python is bigger then the other is because the small one is a male, and the bigger one is most likely a female. Females grow about a foot longer and are much wider then males. No animal grows to their environment.

There are several common sense reasons why so many wild reptiles are larger then their captive bred counter parts. 1, they are in the proper environment with proper humidity, proper temperature. 2., they eat properly. 3. they aren't crammed in a too small tank that stresses them out, 4. they have proper lighting

So many people's captive reptiles stay small because they died too early (most captive ball pythons live to be 10 years, while a properly cared for ball python can live 30+ years), are under environmental stress , such as too small of a tank, not enough or too much heat, humidity isn't right, no or incorrect substrate, or improper lighting, aren't fed enough, or aren't fed a proper diet

Anyway, ball pythons live very well in 20+ gallon tanks. Yours is plenty large for it.
