  1. A 30 GALLON LONG WILL LAST ONE ITS ENTIRE LIFE...THEY LIKE TO FEEL CLOSTERPHOBIC AND CLOSED UP..YES ITS TRUE.....TOO BIG AND THAT WILL STRESS THE SNAKE OUT.

  2. My son has ball python that he has had for eight years. Now he is in a fifty gallon fish tank and he is between 5 and 6 feet long. For the first three years he was in a 29 gallon tank.

  3. "I heard they grow to their enviorment"

    Short answer: no.

Long answer: No, and you're dumb for believing it.

  4. I would buy a 40 gallon tank It is big enough that you should never have to buy a new one. but since the snake is only 2 1/2 ft at the moment, you should crowd the cage a bit with decor like hollow logs, greens, a water dish and at least 2 hides. Making the cage more crowded will keep your snake feeling secure and you can take things out as it grows.

Snakes or any other animal for that matter will not grow to their tank size that is a myth the only thing you will get is a sick animal or one that died from the stress of not have the appropriate sized enclosure.

I do not believe that any tank would be too big as long as you give it plenty of hides and other stuff to crowd it, after all they are animals and in the wild they can go anywhere they please. however they do spend most of their time hiding in termite mounds or other places they can hide. Just don't expect to see it roaming around the entire cage, it will probably find a hide it likes best and stay in it, just moving around at night and to get food and water.

-Edit- Some people believe that if the snake is in a tank that's too big for it may get lost and die from not being able to find the water dish. I've never had this happen but if it worries you any you could always put 2 water dishes in the tank one for either end.

  5. Adults generally do not grow to more than 90-120 cm (3-4 feet) in length.

Soo if you don't want to keep buying cages as it grows, go a head and buy/ build on that will fit its adult size.
