Ballasalla Luke highly likely to go all out in the Grade A2 480 metres flat at Perry Barr
In full swing for winning the Grade A2 480 metres flat on Tuesday, 10th July at Perry Barr is the two-year-old, Ballasalla Luke. The £67 prize money of the race will be contested by Bransa Cana, Lightning Asset, Dower Fern, Queen Shaw and Autumn Tulip.
Saint Luke’s two-year-old fawn son started racing in 2011, and since then has accomplished a lot. He rolled into the new season on 3rd January in a Grade A5 480 metres flat race at Perry Barr. His seasonal debut was a success as the two-year-old reached the other end of the wire in 29.79 seconds.
Ballasalla Luke cornered the runner-up of the race, Corrig Button, by a neck’s margin, and he timed the track distance in 29.81 seconds.
The fawn son out of b***h, Loyal Beauty, took charge of a Grade A4 480 metres flat race on 8th May, 2012 at Perry Barr. He did not take time to set into an early pace, went wide and then burst into full speed charging from the fourth position. It took him 29.15 seconds to settle the track distance and that too by the margin of 1 ¼ lengths.
The last two races of the N. Slowley trained resulted in a victory and then a second score.
The fawn dog won the Grade A3 480 metres flat race on 22nd June, 2012 at Perry Barr by reaching the other end of the wire in 29.25 seconds. It was a slightly difficult one to get under the belt as the two-year-old went wide, but then faced competition down to the fourth position from where he broke free and led. The margin by which he dominated was only a neck’s which was soon taken over by, Fabulous Imogen who settled as the runner-up.
His most recent try was in the Grade A2 480 metres flat race at Perry Barr on 3rd July. This he missed by a neck’s margin as the winner, Old Bawn Millie, timed the track distance in 28.93 seconds.
Ballasalla Luke clocked the track distance in 28.95 seconds.
His chances of steering back to success today are substantial. He will need to look out for Lightning Asset who was successful in his most recent outing.
