I just need any kind of suggestions you can give. It will probably only be about 8 kids, mostly girls. I have plenty of time to make arrangements but I have a baby due 2 weeks before my daughters birthday (Oct.2), so I want to try to get everything planned out well in advance. I could use ideas for food, invitations, activities and goodie bags, games, anything else you can think of. Thanks in advance.

  1. Pin the tutu, shoes, or tiara on the ballerina.

You could get everyone tiara's and tutu's (those could be their favors too). You can probably find these things at the dollar store. I know they have them at one of them near me.

You could incorporate a nutcracker theme. IDK know how. lol. Maybe play that song or an operatic, ballet type song to muscial chairs.

Don't focus too much on getting the other kids a lot of favors. The tutus and tiaras should be enough, but if you feel like you should have more, just get like one or two other things. Kids that age don't really need more junk.

Second, I think doing cupcakes might be a better idea. It might be less messy, but maybe best for serving portion and cost.

IDK about what to put on the cupcakes. Maybe those hard shaped candies, if you can find it in like ballet slippers. Or, you can arrange them to be slippers.

OR! You could do a cake in the shape of slippers, or just have a normal cake with a ballerina drawn on the top.

You could decorate with pink, light blue, and purple (light or dark) crepe paper.

I've given you some links in the source, they should get you started. Most of them are good ideas/nice.

Don't forget balloons! Kids LOVE balloons. You could let them each take a balloon, and a thing of bubbles. That'd be cool too. There are even scented bubbles.

Don't get too worried about whether or not to fill them up with helium. It'd be cool, but to cut the cost, don't get them filled. Kids will love 'em either way. :)

  2. My daughter Megan had a ballerina party too!  For food, we made pretty menu's, with Pretty Ballet Pizza, Cukoo for Dance Cake (the cake was in the shape of a ballet shoe) and I let them choose what order they wanted their food! Invites should be pink with ballet stickers on them! We had a dance off as an activity (make sure they all win, and give them all great snacks like Ballet Candies) in the goodie bags maybe let them decorate a cheap pair of ballet slippers with puff paints! Good luck with the baby and the party!
