  1. rub surgical spirit onto your feet regularly, this hardens the skin.

  2. Work on your arch a lot. If your arch isn't good, your feet won't look good and it will be difficult to get up. Also practice keeping everything pulled in and tightened. You'll fall over if you don't. (Not fun. Trust me.) I also recommend you break in the shoes before your first class, unless your teacher tells you otherwise. Most warm-up exercises require you to use the ball and tip of your foot. If you break the shoes, you'll also have a feel for how much your toes are going to hurt. Trust me, the pain is worth it. Pointe is a lot of fun.

  3. 1. practice pointing ur feet as hard as u can! its even harder to point ur feet in pointe shoes!

    2. i suggest a theraband to strengthen ur ankles! also write the alphabet with ur ankles! also lie on ur back with ur legs parrallel to the floor and at a 90 degree angle to the floor. ur feet will touch the wall. tap ur toes slowly! it will burn after a while! tap 64 times!

good luck! and congrats on beginning pointe soon! hope i helped!
