Ballet affair?

Question

i was tried classical ballet when i was 8 but it only last for 3 months

I wanna go for college this year and i wanna take major in dance so i must take a ballet lesson again.

and i began a private ballet lesson in November 07 once a week to chase what i've left and truly, i practice almost everyday bcause im so scared to get rejected from the college.

luckly i have basic from figure skating.

i figure skate since i was 7 so it makes easier for me to catch up my ballet lesson. Now, i quit my private lesson and within only 4 months i've reached grade 5 and i want to continue by entering a dance studio.

honestly, im good in performance and technique but i havent got my strenght yet.

do you think i can get accepted for college in Fall 09?

it will depend on the college.

A school with a strong ballet program may think you are not ready.  A school with more of a modern or contemporary focus  might give you a better shot.

A school with a smaller or less structured dance program will probably be more likely to accept you into the dance major.

So basically, without knowing the school you are applying to,  its impossible to tell.

Well since you did ice skating, it feeds in with ballet somewhat so I think you should be fine! :) I have a lot of girls at my dance studio who are ice skaters and they are like wonderful at ballet as well. Don't be scared of rejection! Just be confident and whatever happens, happend. I predict you will get accepted for college in Fall 09'! Good luck girl! :) Hope I helped! :)
